Report Fixer for QuickBooks Online · by Atesen Software

QuickBooks Online reports not printing correctly

When a QuickBooks Online report prints cut off or hard to read, start with the print settings QuickBooks gives you. This page lists them as Intuit documents them, says what they do not cover, and then says plainly what Report Fixer can and cannot do about it.

1. QuickBooks' own method: Print/Save as PDF

Intuit's help article Run reports in QuickBooks Online (the page shows "Updated 8/5/2026"; we checked it on 6 Nov 2026) has a printing section with these steps:

  1. Open the Export/Print dropdown and select Print/Save as PDF.
  2. Open the Orientation dropdown and choose Portrait or Landscape.
  3. To keep related items together, check Smart page break.
  4. To show the headers on every page, check Repeat header.
  5. Select Print.

The article also says that to remove the QuickBooks Online address from the printed page you change your browser's settings, and it covers Chrome, Firefox and Safari.

2. What that method does not cover

The controls in that section are orientation, page breaks and repeated headers. The article does not describe changing column widths or scaling the page. A report with many columns or long account names can therefore still run past the page edge or be hard to read after you have tried those settings, and nothing in the steps above changes how the report looks on screen.

3. What Report Fixer does here, and what it does not

Report Fixer is a Chrome extension that changes how a QuickBooks Online report looks on screen: full width, headings and first column that stay in view, full text instead of "…", and a row height you choose. It does not change QuickBooks' print dialog or its print output.

What it can do for paper is get the report out of QuickBooks and into a spreadsheet, where page layout is yours to set: Copy pastes a formatted table into Excel, CSV downloads comma-separated text, and the Excel option downloads an .xlsx workbook with rows grouped by section. Printing from the spreadsheet is then a spreadsheet job. If printing straight from QuickBooks is what you need, Intuit's steps above are the method.

Copy, CSV and the Excel workbook need Pro for new installations; founding users keep Copy and CSV, and the grouped workbook needs Pro for everyone. Reports are read locally in your browser and are not sent to us. Report Fixer does not validate your books or change any figure.
